Sallet and bevor - a light field helmet.

The sallet has a rounded skull, a flat ridge descending to a pointed tail. It covers the face below the eyes. A contemporary bevor has been added to it to cover the neck and upper chest.

Sallet - Duke of Ratibor of Schloss Grafenegg, sale Fishcher at Lucerne 1933, bought by Major H D Barnes. Of the bevor - S J Whawell, James F Sullivan.
