Johannesburg-born artist Albert Adams took his principal inspiration from the political events which shook South Africa.

Having been denied an art education in South Africa because of the colour of his skin, Adams went on to study at the Slade School in London, and is today recognised as a gifted Expressionist artist. This collection of prints, paintings, and drawings were presented by Adams' partner, Edward Glennon.
