This work consists of a 16 sheet text drawing and represents an important element of Andre's work where a typewriter has been used to print across the page, privileging graphical arrangement of the letters over the concrete meanings of the words.

While examples of texts work exist where Andre has hand-written words across the page, the fact that the words were written mechanically aligns with the importance of the removal of the hand in AndreÂ’s sculptures and adds further to the ambiguity of the status of these works. The work explores the relationship between drawing and sculpture which is a central concern of the works Mima is acquiring through Art Fund International, as indeed is the use of language in drawing (as currently considered in works acquired by Lawrence Weiner and Robert Smithson among others). This acquisition was presented by the Art Fund through Art Fund International.
