Eva Rothschild is one of the foremost contemporary sculptors working in the UK today.

This work, Wandering Palm, presents a conversation between artificiality and nature. In representing a tree with its trunk and leaves formed of cast rubber tyres, rolls of tape and patent leather, the sculpture probes at tensions between geometric and organic form, between the processed and the natural. This work was acquired with assistance from the Wolfson Foundation.
