Roni Horn is an American sculptor, installation artist, draughtsman, photographer and writer.

In this piece, the artist photographed her niece Georgia with an automatic camera over a period of two years; each photo has a pair taken a few seconds later. The two separated panels of 6 photographs show the young girl trying on different personalities to greet imminent adulthood. It is a powerful example of the artistÂ’s characteristic evocation of the fine line between sameness and difference. Horn has been cited by artists in the Glasgow collection such as Martin Boyce and Douglas Gordon as an influence. This work was presented by the Art Fund through Art Fund International and complements GlasgowÂ’s AFI collecting focus on documentary media.
