Nora Fok mainly uses non precious materials for her jewellery.

These are made from the material commonly used for fishing line, using techniques of knitting, knotting, tying and weaving with the application of a heat source. Nature and Chinese philosophy provide the inspiration behind these particular works1) A clear whiteish nylon double finger ring, the small bezel ornamented with woven, tied knotted clear nylon. n. 2) Knitted, tied dyed nylon earrings which have been naturalistically coloured. These two pieces help to build up the Fitzwilliam's modest collection of contemporary non-precious-metal jewellery by leading craftsmen. Fok's knitted and woven nylon work is extraordinary.
