This is a hand blown and coloured neon work.

It expresses a declaration of the artist's poetic sensuality and love. The colour of the neon heart-shape is pink, the symbol of love, which is in contrast with the cool blueness of the words inside the heart-shape. Writing on three lines with a kiss at the end creates the child-like immediacy of a haiku poem. This light sculpture adds to the major contemporary British artists that are already in the collections at Aberdeen including Gavin Turk, the Chapman Brothers and Damien Hirst. The art gallery wants to contrast its holding of works by British artists with the work of emerging Scottish artists.
