Together they represent a good survey of the printmaker's career. This collection compliments and relates to the collection of prints by Joseph Webb and Copley & Gabain which were ArtFunded in 2005 and 2008. Aberystwyth houses one of the UKs fine collections of prints representing the Etching Revival from Whistler to the inter-war years. This is the first acquisition of works by Robin Tanner who belongs to a group of 1920s pastoralist etchers. These pastoralist etchers derived their vision of rural Britain from the work of Samuel Palmer and F. L. Griggs.
