These two vases are the only known examples of ceramics designed by Godwin (other than tiles) and will compliment his furniture designs already in the V&A.

Godwin's work epitomises British aestheticism with its clean lines inspired by Japanese forms. These vases are decorated with Japanese inspired motifs: birds in rectangular fields bordered by floral and ornamental bands. The coffee table depicted on one of the vases is in the V&A's collection.
