Art Funded by you

Walter Nassau Senior (1850-1933) 1875

George Frederic Watts, 1875

This portrait, presented as a pair to the gallery with 'Portrait of Margaret Elizabeth Hughes', is a rare example of a private gift made by Watts and has remained in the Hughes family since they were made. Neither has previously been exhibited or offered for sale. They now enter the collection of the Watts Gallery Trust, the organisation which maintains the Arts and Crafts home and gallery built by Watts in Compton, Surrey.
