Two silver-cased Torah scrolls
Charles I Kandler, 1766–1767

The scrolls were made for the Baal Shem of London, Rabbi Hayim Samuel Jacob de Falk, an Eastern European Sephardic Jew, who was a dabbler in magic, a maker of amulets and a cabbalist who used incantations to accomplish paranormal feats, such as finding lost treasure.
