Depicts the commemoration of the festival of the Sunday of Orthodoxy, celebrated annually on the first Sunday in Lent. It was probably painted for public display in a church on that feast day. The panel is divided horizontally into two registers. In the centre top is the icon of the Virgin Hodigitria held by two winged angels in red hats.
