1) Five bearers strain under the weight of a dead lioness. By unknown artist of Emperor Akbar's studio, circa 1600. 2) Lion bites foreleg of elephant from which a royal prince leans and spears the beast'sflank. Attributed to Sur Das, circa 1605.
