Unknown artist, 1300

Found in the ruins of Fountains Abbey, Yorkshire, in the 1860s. Nottingham alabaster, still bearing traces of polychromy. Bought for the museum by the Henry Vyner Charitable Trust and presented to the museum via the Art Fund.
