Slits cut into frozen snow, stormy ... Blencathra, Cumbria 12 February 1988
Andy Goldsworthy, 1988

This records a snow sculpture by Goldsworthy sited in the heart of the English Lake District on Blencathra overlooking Derwentwater, in differing weather conditions and light, on one February day. The sculpture is recorded at four precise moments, from a particular viewpoint and relating the image to its frame edges, thus prescribing for the viewer how the artist wishes the work to be seen.
