One of a pair of silver flagons from the parish church of Thirkleby, near Thirsk, Yorkshire; richly chased with floral designs and panels containing dolphins and sea-monsters. An applied plaque with the arms of F Tyssen, whose father came from Holland. Grant for two flagons, the other one was presented to Temple Newsam, Leeds.
