Silenus
Vladimir Tsivin, 1990
Tsivin is deeply inspired by classical sculpture, and his works are based on subtle modulations of form, as expressed through the muscles of the human torso. These works are hollow and stand within the vessel tradition of ceramic design. Silenus was the teacher and faithful companion of the wine-god Dionysus in Greek mythology.
