The lady, seated full front view in a low green chair to the right, wears a flowing white dress with wide low muslin fichu-collar, a knot of rose-coloured ribbon on her breast. The little girl, leaning on her mother's right side wears a white dress with touches of blue and has a round rosy face and brown eyes.
