A three-quarter length portrait of Miss Elizabeth Ingram in a blue dress, standing turned to her right and looking at the spectator. The sitter's left hand rests on the edge of a stone vase containing pink roses; her right hand is on her hip. A cloudy sky behind and a column left. Miss Ingram, who came of a Wakefield family, was born in 1733 and died unmarried in 1785.
