Portrait of Elizabeth Vernon, Countess of Southampton

Unknown artist, 1603–1605

This full length portrait is one of four from the collection of the Earls of Buckingham, all manifestly by the same hand, which seem to show the sitters in their robes for the coronation of James I. Elizabeth Vernon is depicted in a white dress with a Countess's robe and coronet.
