Portrait of a Lady
Isaac Oliver, 1781–1853

This work has been identified from an engraving as a copy of a portrait miniature by Isaac Oliver. The engraving was published in 'The Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain' as Mary Queen of Scots in 1738 but even at that time it was doubted whether this was actually a portrait of her.
