Paul Hill and his wife Angela established the Photographers' Place. It offered an informal setting for learning and working with internationally recognised photographers. The photographs include 1) approximately 100 exhibition quality prints by Paul Hill; 2) approximatey 200 presentation photographs by reknown artists including Paul Strand; 3) works by 19th and 20th century photographers including PH Emerson, Bill Brandt, Paul Strand and Edward Weston; 4) informal portraits by Paul Hill and others documenting the Photographers' Place lectures and workshops.
