
A pair of side cabinets from a suite of furniture commissioned for the Duke of Palmella, Portuguese ambassador to London. The cabinets have ormolu corner mounts, brass grilles at the sides, deeply chamfered corners with brass marquetry ornament and bellows-like feet. The top is of blue green mona marble (a limestone from Anglesey).
