A pair of console tables of carved and gilt wood, each raised on two scrolling legs which rest, at the base, on a rectangular plinth. In the centre of the plinth, between each of the two feet, is a carved and gilt shell. The legs, rising to the corners of each table, terminate in elaborate acanthus scrolls and swags, and garlands of fruit and flowers. The friezes are decorated with swags and garlands each centering on an oval panel surrounded by scrollwork. The tables are surmounted by green marble tops.
