Mortar & Teapot

, 1768–1770

1) The Mortar bears the Plymouth mark in blue on the base and the wreathing caused during the modelling is a familiar characteristic of many Plymouth pieces; 2) Small globular teapot decorated in blue on white. The decoration is oriental in character with a blue band running round the edge of the lid and the neck of the teapot.
