Melancholia

Albrecht Dürer

In the magic square beneath the bell above the figure of Melancholia, the first numeral in the third line, a 9, has been engraved in reverse. In ordinary impressions this fault was corrected, indicating that this proof was evidently one of the first printed and is of very fine quality.
