Medium Jet Black Blade

James Oughtibridge is a studio potter best known for his hand-built organic forms that are inspired by the dramatic landscape around his home in the Yorkshire Pennines.

Oughtibridge studied at Loughborough University and then at the Royal College of Art in London, graduating in 2001.

Medium Jet Black Blade is the latest in a series of gifts by Nicholas and Judith Goodisonto the outstanding collection of contemporary crafts at the Fitzwilliam Museum.
