This rare silver medal of 1565 shows busts of Mary Queen of Scots and her husband, Henry Lord Darnley. It commemorates their marriage that year. As a significant piece of 16th-century Scottish portraiture it makes a handsome addition to the HunterianÂ’s outstanding collection of British medals.
