Maiolica dish

Unknown artist, 1598

Maiolica dish depicting the Last Supper. This dish is particularly significant and rare by virtue of its enormous size, representing what seems to have been a fashion in the fifteen-nineties for very large dishes, which must have been virtuoso achievements of pottery and firing.
