Ludwigsburg milk jug
Andreas Philipp Ettner, 1760

An early example of Ludwigsburg porcelain, the jug is decorated with scenes from contemporary ballet by Andreas Philipp Oettner, who was employed at the factory from 1758 to 1762. The dancers represented are possibly Vestris and Salle, who had been brought to the Wurttenburg court after their success in Paris.
