Full length portraits of Lucius and Montague Hare, the young sons of Henry Hare, the 2nd Lord Coleraine, owner of Bruce Castle in the 1680s. The children are depicted with an African attendant and hound in an Italianate landscape. The painting is one of only two objects that survive from the early history of the house.
