Unknown artist, 1760–1780

Louis XVI period French silk fan mounted on parchment with an ivory frame. Fan is decorated with tiny gold seqins and painted with an illustration showing 3 ladies, a gentleman, a young girl and a young boy resting in a park. Part of two bequests to two museums by M A V Cochran through the Art Fund in 1966 and 1967.
