Landscape at Wotton, Surrey: Autumn

George Price Boyce, 1864–1865

This watercolour was exhibited in a Pre-Raphaelite Exhibition at the Tate in the 1930s. Tate were interested in purchasing the work at that time but it was not for sale. However, the owner, Mrs. Lawder-Eaton, then bequeathed the watercolour to the Tate through the Art Fund in 1940.
