Lamaistic ritual objects from Tibet including two chank-shell trumpets with gilt metal mounts, deeply chased and jewelled and furnished with streamers of Chinese silk; a double skull drum with painted designs on each membrane; and a finely carved ivory plaque representing a Garuda, a mythical man-bird, who in Hindu mythology acts as the vehicle of the god Vishnu. One of five gifts to three museums by H Eric Miller through the Art Fund between 1928 and 1946.
