
Ivory triptych made for John Grandisson, Bishop of Exeter (1327-1369), his arms are on a small shield. On the panels are Saints Peter, Paul, John the Baptist and Thomas of Canterbury. In the centre is a crucifix above the Madonna and Child. All figures are characteristically English except for the Mother and Child, who are in the style of Italian primitives.
