Openwork plaque depicting seated lion crowned by Egyptian sun-disc and wearing Egyptian collar and wig (usually restricted to Pharaoh). One paw raised and placed on branch of 'sacred tree'. Mixture of Egyptian/Syrian motifs - typical of Phoenicia.
