Ginger jar & cover

The large Charles II jar has a baluster body embossed and chased with putti amongst scrolling foliage with two plain oval cartouches. The domed cover has a laurel border and is similarly decorated. The jar combines Oriental and European styles. Also known as Baluster vase and cover.
