George IV's Coronation footstool
Edward Bailey, 1821

The top covered in crimson velvet with gold fringe is supported by foru carved lions, the underside canvas is inscribed. Its design and the carving of its supporting lions is deliberately antiquarian in spirit, to match St. Edward's throne.
