George III Tea Vase

Matthew Boulton, 1776

Two-handled tea vase and cover. It stands on a square base with four tapering feet and fluted stem. The upper part is chased with laurel festoons and two oval medallions, one enclosing the figure of Minerva at an altar, the other engraved with a coat of arms (Boulton quartering Lowth, Robinson and Babington).
