This statuette, from which an attribute held in the right hand is missing, represents a very rare and delightful type of Renaissance minor sculpture, its powerful movement and extravagant counterpoise contrasting strongly with the austere and frigid classicism of the antique masters. Previously attributed to Maffeo Olivieri.
