Electrum Torc

Unknown artist, c. 200–50 BC

The torc is made from four twisted wire strands of electrum (a gold and silver alloy) with terminals in the shape of rings. The rings are divided into two parts by a single raised scallop line running in a hollow between each. Torcs were only worn by the highest echelons of Late Iron Age society.
