Art Funded by you
Dudley Market Place
Louise Rayner, 1870–1880

This a valuable record of the town in the second half of the nineteenth century before its redevelopment and modernisation. The artist was born in Derby and specialised in topographical views of British market towns and cities. She created compositions in which the whole panorama of a street or square was united in one unified scene.
