Collection of Portrait Engravings

Pierre Drevet, 1663–1738

Seven portrait engravings by members of the Drevet family, (Pierre, Claude and Pierre Imbert). Part of a collection of 45 French portrait engravings, chiefly of the seventeenth century presented to the Ashmolean through the Art Fund in 1951. The series includes 34 engravings by Robert Nanteuil; 27 by Francois Cheran the Elder; and one each by Gerard Edelinck, Pierre-Louis Van Schuppen, and Jean-George Wille.
