Collection of Muhammedan coins

Bleazby collection of Muhammedan coins from the entire period of their rule in India. Total 2.647: 173-gold; 1480-silver; 994 in bullion and copper. Two main classes: Pathan Sultans of Delhi and Moghul emperors of Delhi. These coins are part of a long series of works of art from the collection of the Henry Van den Bergh which have found their way to museums through the Art Fund at different periods since 1909, either being presented by himself, or, following his death in 1937, by his heirs.
