Art Funded by you

Coffer

Frederick Rawlence, c. 1905

The coffer is designed by an artist who started as a landscape watercolour painter. Rawlence joined the Home Arts and Industries Society and started a craft guild at Wilton, Salisbury in 1905. The construction with the frame and panel front with neat pinned joints is typical of Arts and Crafts furniture.
