A straight sided drinking vessel with a slightly flared body. There are ten vertical ribs soldered to the sides and the letters 'TW' separated by a stylised floral motif, have been pricked onto the beaker, just below the rim. It is the earliest known English silver beaker; the few pieces of medieval silver to have survived are mostly chalices or spoons.
