Bust of Marie Feodorowna Empress of Russia
Unknown artist, 1800–1900
Portrait bust of the second wife of the Emperor Paul I, which is known in Biscuit de Sevres and which dates from the nineteenth century; also a smaller model of the same in terracotta. It is part of a collection of 7 works presented to the Victoria and Albert Museum, Birmingham and Wakefield Art Gallery. The Honorary CE Stuart Wortley was an art historian and granddaughter of Sir John Millais.
