Barthelemy Prieur, 1599–1601

The bust of Marie de Medicis, daughter of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, may have been made about the time of the royal marriage in 1600. The corresponding bust of her husband King Henri IV of France is already in the Ashmolean's collection.
