Brigadier General Lord John Hay

Sir John Baptiste de Medina, c. 1700

Brigadier General Lord John Hay, died 1706 was the second son of the second Marquess of Tweedale. He served in the Royal Scots Dragoons and commanded it in Marlborough's campaign in 1702-3. In 1704 he was made Brigadier-General and captured the French Regiment du Roi. He died of fever at Courtrai.
