'Atlas' candelabrum

, c. 1815

A candelabrum with the figure of Atlas supporting a globe. The baluster and branches emerge from the globe. It is an unusual design which recalls similar candelabra supplied to Carlton House in 1810 and 1814 and it is indicative of the type of lighting acquired for country houses at the time.
